About my art
In my art, I want to illuminate moments and impressions through color and form, thereby revealing connections and interaction. Aspects of everyday life, surroundings, thoughts, and feelings are incorporated through colors and color contrasts. The elimination of form, dynamic movement and superimposition create transitions that intertwine our inner and outer worlds. A coexistence through which humans are viewed in interaction with their surroundings and environment.
From a global perspective, everything is interconnected, influences each other, and is subject to constant change. We have reached a point where humans have an enormous influence not only on their immediate surroundings, but on the world as a whole. The understanding that we must perceive ourselves as a small part of a complex system is fundamental and more relevant than ever. No aspect of our lives, no element of this world should be viewed in isolation.
My techniques
My pictures are usually created using mixed media, with pencils, watercolors, and acrylic paints, as well as ink and oil paints, often on wood, but also on paper or canvas. In addition to traditional painting, I also include manual printing techniques and collage elements into my work. I further use digital image processing for some of my works. In the field of object art, I have also created a number of three-dimensional works while working with wood. Wood as a material offers a natural liveliness through its surface and grain; each work is individual and cannot be reproduced.
About me
I became interested in the visual arts in my youth, especially in drawing and painting. After working with pencil, charcoal, and pastel chalk, I gradually moved on to watercolor and acrylic painting. For a time I also liked photography, taking my camera with me, wherever I went. Through my training and professional work in the technical and graphic fields, I was able to create a professional basis for my creative work, as well as expand and deepen my skills. Many experiences and interests now flow into my current artistic work. Parallel to my art, I have been working as a freelance graphic designer for many years, creating layouts, graphics, and advertising designs for print, currently mainly in the gaming industry.
